Biography:

Dr. Xiao is currently a professor at China University of Mining and Technology.

Throughout his 30-year career in R&D and teaching, he held various positions as Scientist, Senior Scientist, Principal Scientist, Scientific Advisor, Professor, Chief Scientist and Vice President. He has published over 60 Journal papers and holds more than 50 invention patents. He has also received multiple awards from various societies for his science and technology contributions.

Research Areas: Applied Geophysics

He specializes in the science and technology of high-precision electromagnetic instruments and equipment. His expertise is in the development of medium and large-scale instrument systems, such as wireline logging system, LWD logging system and intelligent drilling system, he currently focuses on the R&D of long-detection EM LWD tools.
